Eosinophilic Esophagitis

Eosinophilic esophagitis is an allergic inflammation of the lining of the esophagus, the tube that carries food from the mouth to the stomach. It is more common in people who have a history of environmental or food allergies, or asthma. The most common symptoms are difficulty swallowing and chest pain. Treatment options include dietary changes, acid reflux medication, and topical steroids.
